It's tempting to turn to technology as a quick fix, seeking the assistance of ChatGPT to address your challenges. However, it's crucial to approach this decision with caution.
I’m sure most of us here have flexed our curiosity and went to go use ChatGPT in a critical moment. But maybe you’re reading this and saying, “Pierre, what the heck is ChatGPT?”In that case, this is even more important for you. Why?Because technology isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and as leaders it is our job to stay ahead of the curve at the crossroads of leadership and technology. Simply turning a blind eye to technology and AI will set you back as a leader. So what’s the best thing we can do? Embrace it. Learn from it. Use it to our advantage. Unfortunately, that’s not enough for most leaders and they build a wall around them. Fortunately for you, you’re not that kind of leader and you want to learn, grow and develop your leadership skills. So let’s dive into how we can make it work for us and not against us.

To avoid unintended consequences, it's important to understand the potential pitfalls that leaders can encounter when using ChatGPT. But to understand where leaders can use ChatGPT, we have to understand where a lot of leaders go wrong outsourcing to a language model.Here are some areas where ChatGPT should not be the go-to solution:

ChatGPT will compile comprehensive reports, equipping you with the information needed to make informed decisions and drive your team toward success.

Your commitment to nurturing your team's growth sets you apart as a leader. ChatGPT can be a game-changer in this area. With its assistance, you can create interactive training modules that engage and empower your team members. Prompt Example:
"ChatGPT, help me develop an interactive training module on effective customer service. Include scenarios and role-playing exercises that can improve our team's communication skills and elevate customer satisfaction." By integrating ChatGPT's expertise, you'll foster a culture of continuous learning and equip your team with the skills needed to thrive.
