Two Minute Tuesday: How to be a better giver
Happy Tuesday Fam! 🎉And just like that we are about to turn the page on August, now I know we always say this, but this year is FLYING. I’m thinking it’s because this is the first real year we’ve all gone back to normal after being in pandemic mode for so long and now everything just feels like hyper speed, can anyone relate? 😅

👉Anyway, as always If you have a friend who needs these Two Minute Tuesdays, send them THIS link and we can fly through 2022 together! Now, time for the HIGHLY anticipated Two Minute Tuesday Topic of the week.
THIS WEEKS TWO MINUTE TUESDAY IS ABOUT BEING A GRACIOUS GIVER 🤝
I want to start by asking you to recall a moment where you finally got that one thing that you have been craving or have been looking forward too for a long period of time.Go ahead, think about it. Think about how it made you feel to finally get that thing, experience, or maybe it’s even time spent with a person you desired. Whatever it is, once you have that image in your head, I want you to now think about how it would make you feel if someone took it from you. Pretty bad right? Of course. You have been CRAVING this thing for so long and you get it and there’s that person in your ear saying, “Can I have some?” In my head i’m responding with, “DON’T EVEN ASK ME!” 🙄But I want you for a moment to think about a time where you had this feeling, but decided to share anyway. Sure it might not have felt good at first, but when you shared, it actually felt better and at some point you wanted to go out of your way to continue doing it because it made you feel good. What I’m getting at is that we need to have the same approach when it comes to our relationships in life and in work. We need to be gracious with our giving. What does this look like? It looks like providing people with access to valuable resources, checking in with your team, providing personal experience & more. Why does it matter? Because when we support the wins of others, we all win. And it feels good to know that you are supporting someone else too.I covered this topic in my book ‘21 Ways to Effective Leadership’ where I outlined 5️⃣ definite strategies to be a gracious giver in the workplace. Here’s the first Three👇1️⃣ Create a resource program that provides access to information.By continuing to educate employees and grow their business experiences, employers should greatly consider the continuous learning tools they provide to employees.
2️⃣ Check in with your team to evaluate their understanding.Periodic and personal check-ins from leadership can boost morale amongst employees and grow trust within the organization.
3️⃣ Offer encouragement and personal experience to be a courageous leader.Offer relatable advice, draw on past experiences, or simply recognize employee efforts to help build trust and confidence amongst your organizational members.Food For ThoughtWhen you approach any relationship, approach it with an abundance mindset, not a scarcity mindset. No-one is gunning for you and there is plenty of knowledge to go around. Keeping information secret or refusing to mentor those who reports to you will only create a larger divide in your team dynamics. SO… BE A GRACIOUS GIVER! 🔥Until next time, continue being World-Class.Pierre Inspires
