Two Minute Tuesday: How to ask for a raiseš„
Happy Tuesday š2 months and counting for these weekly newsletters! Thank you to everyone for being hereš I am so excited to continue to watch this community grow!š If you have a friend who needs these Two Minute Tuesdays, send them THIS link!MAJOR UPDATE šØWeāve sold over 300 BOOKS! When I first wrote my book my only real goal for books sales is that it would get into the hands and touch as many people as it needed too. There was alot of surrendering that I had to do throughout this process and honestly it taught me a lot about just trusting the process and releasing control. I mean think about it, I spent over a year writing this book. There was so many days I didnāt even want to write, so many times where my imposter syndrome had crippled me, but I persisted on anyway. I had built an emotional connection my work and truly just wanted to see if do well. For my parents out there, I am sure you can relate to this feeling, it may not be exactly the same, but this book IS my baby š¤£So I did what any good parent would do and I released control and surrendered!I just want to thank everyone who has supported, shared and even bought their own book! If you happen to be one of those people who have purchased a book, Iād really appreciate if you could drop a review here. When you review it positively & honestly, we can reach more leaders so that they too can access World-Class leadershipš
THIS WEEKS TWO MINUTE TUESDAY IS ABOUT MONEY MONEY MONEY š°

Thatās right, this week I want to talk about how you can level up and get the money that you deserve! If youāve been keeping up with me on my Instagram, you may have seen the post I dropped about 5 ways to ask for a raise. But if you donāt hit that follow button and keep reading! The reality is that most of us didnāt grow up talking about money and even in our years as professionals talking about money is still⦠kinda weird. And rightfully so! Itās a hard subject to bring up when #1 itās not a widely accepted societal standard and #2 you havenāt had any practice. This is exactly why I advocate for pay transparency because ALL emplyees deserve to know where they stand when it comes to equal pay. Before I dive in the HOW, letās talk about why most people donāt talk about getting a raise to their up line. There are countless reasons why, but these are just a few.ā They didnāt grow up talking about money and donāt know how to approach the conversation. ā Their boss has intimidated them about asking for a raise when they tried before. ā They donāt think that they deserve it.So, how do we shift the paradigm when it comes to talking about money?
KNOW YOUR WORTH. Itās time to put aside the false and negative self beliefs and have the conversations anyway. Hereās a few steps to ask for a raise the RIGHT WAY so you can get that check that you deserve! (a few ways to ask without askingš)š° Ask your leader for more responsibility.š° Connect with your leader and ask for ways in which you can grow in different areas.š° Create a clear plan with your leader. š° Follow through with the plan that youāve created!š° Be patient and be persistent.Food For ThoughtThe reason why having this conversation is so hard for a lot of people is because they think they have to ask for a raise by directly asking for a raise. Thatās not the case! There are so many other ways to show your value, if you follow the steps I shared with you above, you will have tangible accomplishments to show your leader when it comes time to actually ask for a raise. Showing your value and worth is number one!Until next time, continue being World-Class.Pierre Inspires
