Happy Tuesday & August! 🎉Here are at a new month into 2022. If you have some time and haven't done it already, take some time to reflect on what’s working, what needs changed and what you want the rest of 2022 to look like for you. It is so important that we are not only looking back on how far we’ve come, but to also paint the picture of what we want moving forward and reflecting is so important in the pursuit of that because it gives us the opportunity to change course if needed. Have a WORLD-CLASS August!SO BIG LIFE UPDATE 🚨This weekend I was in Dallas speaking at the Adventist Young Professionals convention. This was a huge first for me. Now alot of you may know I used to be a lead pastor about 15 years ago, but this was my VERY first time speaking in a public format beyond a sermon. I had so many emotions leading up to it. Nervous, excited, I even felt like an imposter! But I leaned in anyway and this weekend was a special weekend for the books. This weekend I’ll be doing it again in Orlando speaking to more World-Class Leaders of our generation. This weeks Two Minute Tuesday is all about my takeaways from this weekend 🎉

My Takeaways from the Adventist Young Professionals Conference1️⃣ Your circle will impact your professional growth. Be intentional about who you surround yourself with.

2️⃣ Focus on your purpose before anything else. If you do not know your ‘why’ you can get discouraged easily in the workplace.

3️⃣ Do not be afraid to walk away from a toxic work environment or a micromanaging boss. Your mental health must be your priority.

Food For ThoughtAt the end of the day, work matters, but YOU MATTER more.

You should never feel bad for putting yourself first. When you grow, everyone else does too.
